Ozempic Injuries
Ozempic, the well-known brand name for semaglutide, is a prescription medication approved for the treatment of type-2 diabetes. It is also widely used for weight management. Recent scientific studies have indicated that taking Ozempic, especially at higher doses, may lead to gastroparesis.
Until recently, the warning label for Ozempic did not adequately inform patients or doctors about this risk. Individuals who have suffered injuries after using Ozempic may be entitled to financial compensation by filing a product liability lawsuit.
Eight types of cases are considered regarding Ozempic:
- Gastroparesis or stomach paralysis
- Hospitalization for over one day for GI issues
- Esophageal injury requiring surgery
- Ileus or bowel obstruction
- NEW: Sudden Vision Loss or NAION (nonarthritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy)
- DVT and related injuries, including death
- Pulmonary aspiration
- Gallbladder injury with surgery (Started taking drug prior to 2022)
